January 24, Saturday Winterfest

The Amazing Snowshoe Race - 2pm. Grab a partner & strap on some snowshoes to compete in this new event at the Millstream Brewery! Then stay for the Bonfire & Marshmallow Roast at 2:30pm! A day of fun winter events both outdoor and indoor all over Amana.

February 28, Saturday 3 - 6 pm Beer & Chocolate Tasting

This unique event is a one of a kind here at Millstream Brewery. We are partnering with another Amana favorite, the Chocolate Haus, to bring you this specialty tasting. We're brewing specialty one of a kind batches of beer and the Chocolate Haus is crafting specific flavors to compliment the beer. All patrons will receive a commemorative glass to sample the various beers with then take home with them. The various "Big Beers" will be a Belgian Double, a Belgian Triple, an Old Pilsner, an English Brown Ale, a Barley Wine, a Red Wheat Wine, a Coffee Porter and a Black Whisky Wine. The brewers have been having a lot of fun this winter putting these special brews together just for you at this tasting. Live music, beer and chocolate - it doesn't get any better than this! Tickets are available through Millstream Brewery (319-622-3672), The Chocolate Haus ( 319-622-3025), John's Grocery (319-337-2183) and Benz Beverage Depot (319-365-2556). March 28, Saturday 3:00pm Bottle Party

Please join us as we celebrate over 3,000,000 bottles of beer bottled since we bought Millstream Brewery in Jan 2001! We'd like to invite everyone to join us on the bottling line from 3:00-6:00pm. Show up whenever you like, there are plenty bottles for everyone to take off the line! Then once we're done, we'll shut down the bottler and move the party out to the warehouse with live music from 6-10pm. Door prizes, music, food and beer will be had by all!

Clear Creek Amana High School Jazz Band

Come listen to the local High School Jazz Band as they play after the parade. Enjoy Amana brats on the grill while you listen.

BrewBBQ & Blues

Our 2nd annual BBQ and Blues Event will be held today! The Amana Golf Course will be serving up some great BBQ. Charlie Morgan and the Bone Crushers will be playing the Blues out in the Millstream Biergarten. Of course there will be plenty of beer flowing to keep the event going too!

Tour De Brew

Join us for our 9th annual bike ride at Millstream Brewery. This is definitely a "tour of de brews" and a great warm up ride for RAGBRAI! The event is a poker run with stops to pick up your poker cards. Of course there is a great microbrewed beer waiting for you at each stop. Root beer too! At the end of the ride the best poker hands will receive door prizes. Silver Wings will be playing their tribute to the Beatles' from 2-6pm in the biergarten.This years ride will start and end at Millstream Brewery. Register day of event at Millstream.

Kick back to a relaxing evening with Silver Wings as they play in our outdoor biergarten. This local Beatles' Tribute Band is worth coming down to listen to. BBQ and beer will be enjoyed too!

Blue Grass and Beer

The McPunk Brothers will entertain us at Millstream Brewery with their Bluegrass music. Bring your banjo, they may just let you join in and play with them! Food will be on the grill all afternoon and the beer will be pouring freely!

Great Taste of the Midwest Bus trip

Plan to make your reservations around April for the Great Taste of the Midwest Bus Trip. Millstream Brewing will make all the arrangements to get you up to the festival, into the festival and back home safe and sound. Of course we'll provide the beer for the ride up and the approx. 100 breweries will provide over 400 beers once you get there!

No emails will be sent out this year as a reminder so if you want your spot on the bus contact Millstream April 1st.

The Blues are so much fun that we are going to have Charlie Morgan and the Bone Crushers back to play at Millstream. Of course BBQ and Beer are part of the fun in our outdoor biergarten.

September 6, Sunday 1-5pmBeer Festival

5th Annual Festival of Iowa Beers

Tickets go on sale July 1st

Last year we had 10 Iowa craft breweries participating, 9 Iowa home brew clubs, cooking with beer demonstration, an Iowa book author and 1100 people that enjoyed it all. We hope to have an even better fifth year. Come down to the brewery and taste the best beers that Iowa has to offer and meet the brewers who make these great brews as they serve you. Live music, local food will also be part of the event! Proceeds go the the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation.

This year we will being doing things a little differently for entrance into the festival. We will be limiting attendance to 1200 people this year. Tickets will not be available for sale the day of the event this year, tickets will be available for sale in advance only. There will be two ways to obtain tickets, mail order or advance in person at Millstream Brewery.

Ticket price for the Iowa Beer Festival on September 6, 2009 is $15.00 per person.

Starting July 1, 2009 you can purchase tickets at Millstream Brewing Company in Amana, IA. If you wish to order your tickets through the mail please send a SASE and a check or money order for the correct amount (payable to Millstream Brewery) to:

Ticket orders must:

o Be postmarked on July 1st. Orders sent with postmarks earlier than July 1st will be returned to you unfulfilled.

o Include a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE).

o Include a check or money order for the correct amount, payable to Millstream Brewing Co.

If your order is not able to be filled, your uncashed check or money order will be returned to you in the SASE that you sent with your order.

This event always brings out the best cooks in the area and you get to be that cook! Bring a dish that you have prepared using beer as an ingredient to share with everyone. Friendly peoples choice awards will be given for best appetizer, best main dish and best dessert.

October 2, Friday 2:00 Oktoberfest

Tapping of the Oktoberfest beer keg

Join us as we "Roll out the Barrel" at 1:45 at Millstream Brewery and follow the 1st Oktoberfest keg by wagon to the Festhalle. Then at 2:00 at the Amana Festhalle the Burgmeister will tap the first Oktoberfest beer keg to kick off the Oktoberfest weekend celebration!
