Radio Show Trivia
Well the radio show was pretty fun. I was nervous at first, but once I got talking, I calmed down. I didn’t get to say much with so many other people, but I was happy to say what I did.
I hope that soon we can do an all beer themed show.
Here all the questions, I only got to ask two to the audience.

You only got 4/5! You missed number 4. I looked this one up to be sure. The answer is a). Surpisingly, some lady got this question right on the radio show, but she did so by assume that USA has the most breweries because its the largest country. But in reality, Germany had more breweries than any other country in the world until about 1995 when their industry started to decline and consolidate.
U.S. Breweries Operating in 2004:
55 Regional Specialty Breweries
371 Microbreweries
936 Brewpubs
1,362 Total Craft Breweries
20 Large Breweries
14 Regional Breweries
1,396 Total U.S. Breweries
Germany has only 1,279 breweries as of 2003
Belgian only has about 120 breweries, and Great Britian has something like 400.

Any idea what those numbers break down to per capita?

No I don’t, it was not easy to find the numbers in the first place. You raise a good point though, there is no doubt that Germany has more breweries per person than any other country in the world.
The number of breweries in the US has been shrinking too after hitting their peak in 2002.
