Asian Invasion, Again
It’s been another busy week down by the ole’ Millstream. Things are calming down from Oktoberfest. However we were a little short handed this week. This has given me the opportunity to get to know more of our customers better as the salesroom required my attendance a little more this week. It’s great to hear all the compliments our beers provoke.
Today I’m doing some utility modification (tinkering). I’ve got years of accumulated projects to try to get done this winter. New temperature controllers, new water lines, rebuild a refrigeration compressor, develop a transporter to beam beer directly to customers’ homes, and much more.
I’ve noticed, lately, those crazy Japanese beetles are coming out in swarms this year. My Binford, 20 hp, gas powered shop vac has proven the best weapon against this invasion. It’ll suck ‘em up from 20 yards, unfortunately the wall plaster usually comes with them. Today, I actually saw a swarm of those black and orange ladybug nightmares devouring a mouse. There was nothing left in five minutes. Well, I see another swarm of those little monsters so I better get after them.
