Jazzfest and festivals

Filed under: Uncategorized — Aaron @ 7:56 am

I will be at Jazzfest all day serving RootBeer floats with Heyn’s ice cream. Its supposed to rain, but I hope that its brief and that we have a nice day. Jazzfest is one my favorite things, the only thing I wish is that they would let me serve my beer instead of just rootbeer. That’s Iowa City for you. Last night I went to Coralville to see BF Burt and the Instigators, and we were able to bring beer to the city park, and dogs! It seems that coralville has the right idea to me.

We sold three kegs of beer at the Freedom Fest Balloon Glow. It was really nice to watch the balloons take off in the evening. I think we would have sold more beer, but they had a relatively tiny ‘roped off’ area for the consumption of alcohol. Everyone was spread out on the grass. I think these little roped off areas are a silly idea. There is also one at the Shakespeare Festival. What is the point, if someone is old enough to buy alcohol, they are old enough to be responsible with it. Its like they are afraid that people are going to be drunk and sleeping in gutters.
